Long Tailpiece Remedy..Vanity Drain Configuration

The before setup for the vanity drain arrangement will not work because the vanity has a drawer that slides in. Look at the after photo and is that acceptable?? The photos are not of the same vanity. The AFTER photo is reference.

Odor problems from sludge/slime buildup on the horizontal section from the tail piece to the p-trap?
Not only the horizontal sections, you have a lot of pipe before the trap that could accumulate crud. Not as likely on the verticals, but still possible. Those extra changes of direction will likely slow things down, allowing stuff to accumulate.

It's all you can do without raising the drain in the wall. It meets code, as the vent comes off at the same level as the trap arm.

hj's point is more to an awareness down the road that "if" there is an odor problem, you can remove the pipe and fittings, clean and reassemble.
It's as good as you could have done, without tearing the wall out. Just enjoy what you have!
