    Tks cacher_chick. The cold water pressure seems pretty good, but I've got a drip at the main water supply valve anyhow, so I call the utility company today to have them take a look.

    Tks jadnashua. To add some details to this: 1. Water is coming out opposite pipes (i.e hot is cold and cold is hot) 2. The hot water I do manage to get out when putting the system under pressure is initially muddy and then clears. Does this do more to suggest the problem is in the water...

    Hi guys I'm re-finishing my laundry room and was forced to cut and cap a couple of pipes to the water softener so I could have full access to the floor. Today I have no water pressure in most of the house. I've already tried: 1. Opening all faucets, including externals, to bleed the pipes...
