One Check Valve for 2 Pumps

Hello, I am installing a backup battery system for my sump pump. The backup pump uses 1 ½†PVC pipe for the discharge (same as main pump). Is is OK to use a PVC "Y" adaptor before the check valve so both pumps use the same check valve? Thanks in Advance
