    Unzoning hot water heating system

I have a boiler controlled by a 4 zone taco relay box. Zones are 1st fl, 2nd fl, basement and domestic hot. I have been home sick this week and its been cold out so i have been able to observe the boiler working under its hardest conditions. I am constantly hearing the boiler fire for one the...

Lights Flickering - bad splice in panel?

The guy who did the work is supposed to come check it out on Monday. Could poor balancing of the phases cause this? I mean could having to many high current items on this phase cause the splice to fail even if it was installed correctly?

Lights Flickering - bad splice in panel?

Thanks for the answers guys. I left it original to the panel to save money and because the sparkies who checked it out told me i would be fine for at least 10 years. In terms of the splice in the panel i was told it was fine I dunno. Clearly you can see why one would not want a splice in the...

Lights Flickering - bad splice in panel?

Should boiler shuts off while circ pump is still on?

Yea i figured that it was normal because the boiler had reached operating temp. I just had never had it happen with the other zones and i am far from a plumber so i was thinking i may of screwed something up. This zone is a real low volume baseboard loop so it makes sense. thanks mark

Should boiler shuts off while circ pump is still on?

I have a 4 zone hot water boiler. I reticently added the 4th zone. I have noticed that occasionally when the 4th zone is calling for heat the boiler will turn off while it is still calling for heat. When this happens the circ pump for that zone is still pumping and the boiler is up to temp...

Adding baseboard loop - Bleeder question

I bleed my my domestic using this method last year. But my memory is a bit foggy. Do I have The procedure rite? I turn the heat on for the basement, shut the valves to the other zones both on the return and output, open the hose valve and let it flow until there is no air sputtering...
