    Broken striker spring Here's a picture of the bottom end of the rod.

    Broken, as in the bottom half of the the coil spring is missing. This spring attaches to the bottom of a length-adjuster-link, which then is connected to the long link rod reaching up the overflow tube to the drain lever mechanism.

    The striker spring in my tub drain assembly is broken. Believe it is a Kohler, but may be American Standard. I have checked with all local (Easton, MD) hardware and plumbing supply houses for a replacement part but with no success. And so far I have been unable to find a source on the internet...
