Well-X-Trol tank needs re pressurizing every 3 or 4 years

I suspect there is a a problem with the diaphragm. I guess it's just acting like a bladderless tank with a trapped air pocket. Will be replacing the tank eventually. -jj

Well-X-Trol tank needs re pressurizing every 3 or 4 years

I have a 22 year old well trol 80 gallon tank on my rainwater system. It's been connected to a few different shallow well pumps over the years. Over the last 10 years or so, I've had to drain the tank and re pressurize it 3 times because the pump was short cycling. The tank is not leaking water...

    Tank mount pressure gauge?

Well, the port the gauge is in goes to zero as soon as the pump shuts off. So, here's how it would go. Pump on and the pressure builds to the cut off point (60 psi). Pump shuts off, pressure drops to zero. My pressure switch has a low/no pressure cutout - if there is no pressure at all, it won't...

    Tank mount pressure gauge?

Yes, it's a submersible, about 650' down and been down there about 20 years. Maybe not seen as much use as normal, because it is not our source of water for the house, just outside watering. Not sure if there is a vacuum, pressure gauge jumps immediately when the pump cycles to ON.

    Tank mount pressure gauge?

I don't have a pressure gauge down it the well house that always shows water pressure in the system. It only shows the pressure while the deep well pump is running. The check valve has 2 auxiliary ports, one on the well side and one on the tank side. The pressure switch is on the tank side...

Can I Put a Check Valve in Hot Water Supply Line?

My water heater tank started leaking and while draining it I noticed there is cold water backflowing through the supply line. So I most likely have a valve somewhere that is letting cold water into the hot water line. I believe I know which one is the culprit. I don't believe the situation is...
