remodeling bathroom and have some questions

In Chicago every fixture has to be individually vented. According to your drawing the shower is wet vented. Your best solution is to rip everything out and start all over with a proper lay out ( piping in the wall, not coming thru the floor)

    Options for a misaligned p-trap

Like HJ said the best thing to do is install a 1.5X1.25 trap adapter with a tubular p trap and then cut the shelf.

    Two wires

Am a plumber, the only electrical equipment I own is a craftsman multi-meter. I did take electric shop in high school six years ago and do know how to run wires to complete a circuit. I was just surprised to see that the hot and neutral wires were the same color.

Need Advice on preventing drilling into Water Lines - Grab Bar Installation...

    Sub floor sequencing

Threading PVC fitting into cast iron stack

I use teflon tape and Megalock pipe dope. I also would use a PVC schedule 80 male adapter instead of the regular one.

However I have run into this problem in a large hotel remodel were this was not possible and had to offset. Sometimes you just have to make it work. If your going...
