    A motel had all its tubs relined, and after about a year half of them felt like you were waling on a water bed. The only way I could see for the water to get in was where the liner met the walls and shower water was seeping in.

    IF you installed the valve correctly and needed the extender kit, there is no way you would just need the one part, since they are a "package deal" and go together.

    I am sure your flow velocities are off the chart. You will probably encounter a lot of erosion, and therefore leaks, at all turns where turbulence is highest. The PEX insert fittings may also be a problem at high velocities.

    Cut a coupling in half and glue the pieces to the pipe. That will make it the same size as a sch. 40 Fernco.

    apply heat while applying slight rotational pressure. When it reaches the correct temperature it will easily unscrew.
