Hi...I'm stuck! I decided to put in a new shower valve, and my buddy gave me a deal on a Grohesafe EF valve (35.253.00) with 'universal connection' for the hot/cold inlets.... OK, I'm fairly new at this....what is a universal connection?? The inlets have 1/2" male threads...but not sure...

you may want to check out the Arrow fastening company...they make a brad nailer for brads up to 1.25" long, electric....not sure what gauge though. I've seen these at the big box stores, as well as local hardware stores.

thanks... so given that, I'll need to do a 22.5 or 45 horizontal bend in the 2" drain, run it next to the 3", past the vent T, and then could I tie the 2" into the 3" using a 3x3x2 wye horizontally? Or should I just run both side by side until I get to the vertical run and then do the wye?
