Geoffrey Leach the Other

Living off the grid. Water system is somewhat unique, I imagine. Drinking water comes from a developed spring, runs thru a slow sand filter and into a holding tank, all by gravity. It is then pulled thru a Culligan 5 micron filter by a DC pump (the same type as is used in soft drink dispensers) The pump is connected on both sides with reinforced flexible PVC. The output feeds into a check valve and then past a tank, pressurized at 50/70 psi. All of this is about 10 feet above the house, where all of the water use takes place. At this point, the setup is prosaic, except for the Propane-powered Aquastar on-demand water heater. The toilet is a toto CST 854, which has performed flawlessly for 8 years. It was discovered on this site, Thanks Terry:D
