why does my toilet drain pipe have a hole in it?

Thanks for the answers. This bathroom is a powder room/half-bath and the sink is in fact to left where the hole is. I had installed the bowl last night to put a little water in it to avoid sewer gas. I have a one and a half bathroom place and was in the middle of renovating our full bath so this...

why does my toilet drain pipe have a hole in it?

cool thanks jadnashua. Have you seen anything like that before? like I said no sign of a leak from ceiling or rooms below below and that toilet has seen 20,000 -30,000 flushes by my calculations since I owned the place. It scared the living daylights out of me!

why does my toilet drain pipe have a hole in it?

adding picture. this is crazy. I have used a standard hand snake maybe twice on this in past 15 years, never anything caustic and I can see finished room below's ceiling not a sign whatsoever of any problem.

four way valve or best way to get three outlets from one supply?

Thanks Wow. Both excellent and useful answers. Thanks so much. I think I will likely do Winslow's suggestion of two each, I hadn't even thought of that. HJ may not have realized from my long rambling question that I have the wallboard off two feet from the floor. Two more more questions about...

four way valve or best way to get three outlets from one supply?

Friends, What a great forum. I have been visiting here for years and gotten great answers by searching, most recently with a hair pulling situation with what turned out to be a gerber toilet needing an extra large donut between the tank and toilet. thanks to this great forum I was able to find...

Consumer Reports Recommended toilet, Gerber DF-21-318 a big Flop!

Consumer reports is good for some things but they have gone way WAY overboard on the "green." People should be concerned with the was e of clean water and they should be informed and make behavioral and purchase decisions with the health of the planet as a factor. But I recently studied...

    Laundry sink replacement questions

I am not at all concerned with it "falling through the floor" I am rationally concerned with the VERY widespread issue of damage caused by vibration resonance of these machines when not placed on a slab. 3 feet from the joists support could double the resonance compared to one foot. I have...
