Is high efficiency boiler worth extra $4,000?

Friend building a new house (around 6,000 sqft). He is deciding between standard 85% efficiency boiler vs. the 95% high efficiency. Upcharge is about $4,000. Doing radiant in some of the house and then whole house is hydrocoil. Contract calls for 2 boilers, 180,000 BTUs each. That's the 85%...

How to increase geothermal water temperature in bath

Thank you for your responses. I will look at the tankless option and make sure the GPM will work at the temperature rise I need. I'll connect it only to the Jacuzzi to save on energy costs.

    Enough water pressure?

    Venting a shower

I definitely do not have enough room to put the wye fitting vertically onto the shower drain. I could put it horizontal with a slight up-angle towards the back wall. Is that not good enough?

    Venting a shower

Thanks for your response. I posted a picture with the vent line and fittings drawn-in. Can you please confirm this is what you were referring to? The vertical line connects to the same vent as the sink. David

    Venting a shower

Looking for some advice on venting a shower. In photo "IMG00009.jpg" you will see the horizontal drain line. The right vertical line is the vent stack. The left vertical is the drain for the sink. Is the shower already vented according to plumbing code or do I need to attach a vent closer to the...
