Delta 1500 to 1700 sleeve too short

Hi Folks, I'm new to this board, but have been reading the posts for a while now. I just completed a Delta Monitor 1500 to 1700 conversion. The conversion worked great, but there is one issue; the RP50880 sleeve is too short and does not fit securely into the cover plate. I'm worried if I leave...
