You will have better luck in the well pump category. Valveman is the guy to talk to about anything CSV.
To answer your question the CSV takes the place of a standard pressure tank. It would go on the outlet side of the pump.

The CSV would go between the output of the pump and the tee. You will need a pressure switch after CSV, preferably at the pressure tank. You would want a pressure gauge after the CSV. You could put that with the new pressure switch.

is it possible to leave the switch wehre it is, right on the pump?
this way all i need to do is move the pressure gauge after the csv since i have no idea how to move the switch.
thanks

If you use the pressure switch on the side of the motor you will need to extend the sensing tube to connect to the CSV1A or to a tee close to the tank. The pressure switch has to sense pressure after the CSV. The gauge also needs to be after or on the CSV1A.

The location of that inline filter makes no sense. The location of the check valve prevents you from being able to purge the filter.

can you tell me where in the pic is the sensing tube?

i paid a professional irrigation company to do this.
if i have an idea i on how to do it i wouldve done it myself like everything else but irrigation/plumbing i am clueless, the extent of my plumbing/irrigation knowldge is turning on/off the faucet.

thank you for your information, i will redo it myself.
should the check valve go before the filter?

The check valve is fine where it is. The filter should be moved to the horizontal line on the discharge side of the pump. The sensing line is under the grey pressure switch and attaches to the pump case, see red arrows.

i can move the filter myself, that's easy enough.
Sometimes it is easier to just put a regular pressure switch after the CSV than it is to find the fittings needed to extend that tube.

how hard is it to move the sensor from the side of the pump to the csv?

Looks like a nice clean insulation but why did the irrigation company add a pressure tank and pressure sensor on an irrigation pump? Looks like a used pressure tank. Was that already there? That is a good pump and very popular in Florida. A CSV valve is a great product but what it accomplishes for an irrigation pump with a pressure tank, is the same as an irrigation pump alone.

A pressure tank does only one thing on an irrigation well. It is when some want some spigots around the home using the well and/or domestic water such as to a barn. Other than that, it takes energy to keep the tank pressurized while in use. If there are not enough sprinkler heads per zone where the pressure could hit the shut off point the pump will short cycling quite rapidly. That said, you then need to go with a CSV. I wrote this so other that read this can learn. Since all this work has been done leave it and do add a CSV.

That filter on the suction side is unusual. It might be to test the well. Is this a new well?

there is a couple spigots with hoses connected for manual watering like washing the coop, washing the dogs, atv, riding mower etc.

thank you

With the PK1A kit you don't have to worry about extending the tube from the pressure switch on the motor. Just use the switch that comes with the PK1A and wire around the existing pressure switch according to the "Jet Pump" wiring instructions that are included. You can have as many spigots as you want after the PK1A kit, just don't have any before it.
