How do I go about venting. Not one pipe in this house has a vent. There's no vent out of the roof or to any fixture. The only vent this house has is a out side mushroom cap vent that leads to the septic tank.
No Venting? Oh My! When was the home built and by who? Every fixture gets a p-trap except the toilet. The toilet is a bowl of water with it's own trap, or trapway. Everything else has a trap added to it with venting to prevent the trap from siphoning dry which would allow sewer gas into the home. I've been in homes without traps and it did smell. They didn't even know because they had gotten used to their otherwise clean and spotless home with that odd smell.
My mother grew up in a home without plumbing or electricity. They did add it and my mother helped with that. My mom was quite skilled with wood stoves and kerosene lamps though. She made the best bread in the wood stove we had in Canada on Lake Quesnel.

Plumbing looks like this on the vertical. Vents go through the roof, and the waste heads to the sewer or septic. Same thing really.
