Help replacing Grohe chiara bath faucet hose

Need to replace mixed water hose 46254000 on this Grohe Chiara pullout bathroom sink faucet.

View #2 with the pullout handle. It's hose B that we're trying to replace.

My husband can't figure out how to get to the attachment point inside the handle.

I believe the connection is below the countertop. You would unthread it there and pull it upward from the top.
