Hi everyone. I have a double basin sink in the kitchen. When I dump large volume of water (say a medium size pot) into the side with the disposal, I can smell a bad odor coming from the drain on the other side of the sink. The same doesn't happen when I dump it down the side without the disposal. I'm assuming it backsplashes somewhere in the siphon. I've tried baking soda with lemon juice, etc, but no help. Is there another fix other than replacing the drain pipes under the sink?

Thanks,
GP

How about a picture of the pipes below the sink?
800 pixels or less.
Here's a picture of the pipes. Do you see anything wrong with the configuration? Should there be a siphon from the left basin?
