Hi,
I'm thinking of installing a "simple pump" http://www.simplepump.com
alongside my existing submersible pump in 4" well casing with no pitless adapter.
The tag on the side of the casing says depth to water is 49 feet. Dept of well is 140 feet.
Casing depth is 105 feet. Does this sound fairly feasible? And it seems I have a fair
amount of water here or is the 49 / 140 figure fairly typical?

http://www.simplepump.com/WHY-SIMPLE-PUMP/index.html says "Needs only 1-3/4" clearance."

1 inch PVC or steel pipe is 1.315 inch OD. 1.25 pipe is 1.660 OD. However the fitting that is carrying the weight above the well seal is significantly larger. Plus, you would need to find a suitable well seal. It may work fine. I would contact the manufacturer. They probably know what is available to make this work.

I am actively in contact with the manufacturer. They have a new well cap to acommodate both. I was hoping someone had experience with this particular pump. It seems to be very popular for such an installation.

Thanks for your thoughts.
