Honeydew project: Moving vent to re-opening door frame.
Good morning, I'm trying to finish a toliet install in the garage that my dad
was unable to finish.
To help explain what I want to do, I've included a photo of where the toliet will be,
where the vent will be, and where the waste pipe is.
waste pipe is.
History: The vertical vent pipe was at the wall where an old door frame is located.
The vertical vent pipe connected directly to the waste pipe with a santee and 90 degree
turn into the 3" waste pipe.End of history.
Now the vent pipe is being moved to the left of the door frame
so we can re-install a door.
Question #1. Can I run the 3" pipe from the toliet directly(left to right in the photo)
to the waste pipe with a santee or long turn tee wye HxHxH to run to the vent?
Question #2. Or do I need to run the pipe directly to the vent pipe area,
(use santee or any tee?) then turn toward the waste pipe?
Question #3. Are both or any of these scenarios above up to code?
Question#4. All I can find is a HxH 90 for the toliet/toliet flange connection.
Is this ok? The 3" flange I have fits into the HxH 90.
I get different answers from HomeDepot personnel and it is hard to find the right
plumbing codes, let alone decrypt them.
Thanks for this forum and for reading my situation. Victor.
