The other trades have started a thread like this, so why not us too. If you identify the equipment posted, you post the pic for the next round. The OP of the pic determines if the answer given is specific enough for a win.

I always run across fun stuff. This was today's project. What is it?

I guess it is some sort of gizmo that converts a three phase (360 Volt) system to a two phase (240 volt) system....

Come on.... Give me some sugar. I'm right - right? LOL

Keep guessing. This was installed at the Sands back in the day, it had blown up, been rebuilt, and now the Venetian uses it only if necessary. I don't expect you to guess the equipment on the end of it.

If that were a pool heater stat, it'd be for a pool I'd never swim in. A stat it is not, BB.

I haven't given any clues yet, so why start now?

Does these panels serve to protect -- in between -- equipment and the main line power source?

OK - Enough all ready.

One point for Vegas.

What the hell is it. Where are the pretty girls you promised us.

I suck at drains, so I started a thread like this down in the electrical forum. Feel free to play there too, fellas. It'll have better chicks than John's game. LOL

I'm not going to play unless you keep up your end of the deal Vegas .....

I'll throw out a couple of guesses (but these may not fit based on the info provided):

1. DC drive
2. SCR
3. VFD

I first though controller for a plating process. Doesn't fit, though, especially being three switched legs.

Probably in a basement being on a curb.

The yellow tape says maybe high-leg delta, but not necessarily.

What's real confusing are the two smaller what look like relays on the upper left (one appears to be unused).

Also, there appears to be plumbing behind or even above the racks, which looks out of place.

I think I can hear somebody laughing at us...

Three phase 360 volts? TWO phase? That is like the electrician who asked me what is this new 270 volts stuff?

Looks old. Looks dangerous. Would not touch it at all.

What's your guess?
