Can I put everything in one trench in slab?

My cottage remodel involves turning a room-on-slab into a mud room/laundry. For this to work I will need to bust out a trench across the slab over to the crawlspace where the bathroom is. Can I place hot/cold supply, washer/sink drain and electrical all in this same trench?

Yes you can, but you need to have the proper distance separation for your Local Code requirements.

The wire will need to be rated for that use

It should be under the slab and not in it, in my neck of the woods.

Separation is a deal-breaker if they can't lay next to each other. Who would I ask--the building dept, electrical, or plumbing? Might I run into conflicting codes like I recently did with receptacle spacing over baseboard radiators?

Where ever you get your permit would be the place to ask.

You can look up the proper spacing and depth on the internet.

It depends on where you live.

Many places are happy to get your permit money and really do not care.

Oops, Yes I did say that.

Permits eh?
I've been trying for weeks just to get the zoning guy to return my call. Small community.
Keep it simple I say.
