Well I have screwed up,I was going to pull my well point to clean or replace due to not enough sprinkler pressure and the pipe broke due to being rusted. Question? Is it better to have a 2 inch well point and line or is a 1 1/4 sufficient. Will a 2 inch give me much more pressure? Recomendations would be great, I really need to get this working before my wife's flowers die and I need to find a new home. I guess if that happens I won't have to worry about fixing the well. Also, do I really need a preassure tank? I have the pump hooked up to a timer and relay.

Thanks

Relay and timer are OK if running that way is all you need. 2" will probably let in more water, but 1 1/4" will be easier to drive and probably be sufficient.

Depth?

Thanks for the above information. I checked the depth of the current pipe and hit water 6 ft down, the point stopped at 15 ft. Question: how deep should I set my new point?

Sweet Success ! It only took 2 1/2 hours to drive 15 ft. I went with a 5ft screen instead of the 3ft one I had before. I now have more pressure than I've ever had, 50+ pounds of pressure which is more than enough to run my zones. In fact on one zone I had split I can now run all 8 heads at one time. Now the only problem I have is that the wife's windows are now getting sprayed and if we leave the back door open water comes inside so I guess that means a little adjustment is needed. Another problem I see now is that I may have to mow and weed more but at least I don't have to look for a new home. Thanks for all the help, I will spread the word about your site.

Thanks,
Vic
