I have a half dozen 120V 3 tier pagoda lights I'd like to install along a new walkway what I am building. I guess the question to you is how would you do this? I could run 1/2 inch SCH 40 between buried bell boxes and mount the light on top of a relatively short pipe nipple off of the bell boxes, but those bell boxes aren't going to be water tight and under the ground and I think that would be a problem. Maybe it doesn't matter if I run THWN and use silicon filled wire nuts. I could cement over the entire bell box. That would make it water tight, but it would be a PITA to replace a broken light.
Or should I just forget that whole mess and go with UF wire, silicon filled wire nuts and perma posts http://www.berkeysupply.com/product-714.html ? I initially thought this didn't meet code, but now I'm not so sure.
Or something else maybe?
