I have the insulated tank you are considering. It's great. My well water is really cold and the insulated Drake has eliminated the sweating problem. I'm glad I spent the extra money for it.

: The new 1.6 gallon toilets hold close to 3.5 gallons in the tank, thus sweating is rare.
: Some water will remain in the tank that is close to room temperature.
: The extra $30 for the insulated tank is not much though.
: I factory ordered some for a customer that had a well. I haven't heard back from him though.
: If you don't mind the wait for the SD tank, "insulated", I would say "Go for it."
