In response to Re: Shower Extension Arm
: I have an extension arm that extends from a round coupler (two holes offset 90 degrees to transition from verticle to horizontal) that will hold the shower head. The extension arm looks somewhat like a shepherds crook. When I thread it into the coupler, with a wrap or two of teflon tape, it only goes 3/4 of the way around on the final turn and does not point downward. I hestitate to force it that last 1/4 turn. If I give it five or six wraps of the tape, it will tighten at the correct position, but drips. Advice appreciated.

Reply:
Play it safe, use teflon tape, (two or three wraps) and pipe joint compound, (if the shower arm is brass). Tighten it good and tight and face it in the direction that you want.
