: I've got a one-piece fiberglass tub/shower unit installed. I've stubbed out about 8" of pipe into the tub area for the tub spout and capped it. I put in a 90 degree elbow with a straight run of copper. What are my next steps to install the spout? Also, should I do this before finishing the drywall? Reply:
The tub spout is installed against the finished wall material.
The method of installation will depend on the exact type of spout; some screw on, slip on or some have adapters that are soldered onto the copper piping then the spout screws onto the adapter.
Check the installation instructions.
