:The Laing AutoCirc runs on a timer, but there is also main function switch on the pump body which has an off position. You could easily wire the power source to this unit to be controlled by a switch, for convenience. I believe any retrofit recirc system will have the side effect that warm water will temporarliy come from the cold tap during any period when the pump is running.
