: I was hanging some shelves in my garage and drilled into a drainage pipe from the utility sink in the adjoining room. What is the best way to patch it?

I agree, replace a section of piping using two slip couplings or two no-hub couplings, if it's a straight run, it shouldn't be difficult.
...Anything else is considered temporary.
