In response to Re: uneven toilet
: I'm replacing the toilet in my bathroom and I've run across a problem. The concrete slab floor is not level and the new toilet rocks back and forth. The old toilet had been leveled with some type of ultra white concrete (almost looks like plaster of paris like you'd buy at a craft store). Short of ripping up the floor and grinding down the concrete, what's the best way to level the new toilet?

: Thanks!

Make sure the closet flange is properly secured and anchored.
Shims can be used to level off the toilet and make it sturdy. The gap, which should be no more than 1/8th to a 1/4" inch can be filled with grout and allowed to harden. Use new brass closet bolts and a new wax seal.
