thanks CEA, I'll look into a corner toilet, seems pretty nifty to me. I did a quick measure of the upstairs 1/2 bath, similiar to the "today" picture and found: 28 inches from wall to toilet edge 19 inches to vanity 27 inches vanity to edge i've never had an issue with knees here...not sure how typical these numbers are/are not
