|In response to Re: Consumer product reviews of the Briggs Vacuity toilet|
I just bought the Briggs 4200. It installed without a hitch, and it works very nicely. The slack in the chain length should only be 1/4 inch. This seems to improve the flush. When I had the slack at 1/2 inch the flapper closed too soon. You should not have to hold the handle down if the slack is correctly set. Also, the toilet can be plunged if necessary. However, there is a certain procedure necessary that is described on the Briggs web site due to the vacuum assist. You can see that procedure on their website
at www.briggsplumbing.com, click on customer support, fix-it wizard,
model 4400, and go to the last question. Customer support is excellent, as they answered my email the same day I sent it out. I recommend this toilet. Bowl rinse is excellent as all water comes from the rim when flushed.
