: Natural gas in some parts of the country has a high sulphur content which corrodes copper. It is not allowed for Nat. gas here in San Diego. ALuminum is ok, but here we prefer to use flex connectors, which are usually stainless steel. Any long run to get close to the dryer is done in black pipe.
