Charlotte Pipe makes cast iron closet bends, for that purpose, which will not crack or erode like lead can. Have not seen any "modern" plumbers install lead bends, in Chicago or anywhere else, since at least since the 40's, but have removed a lot of them.

: : : This from someone who still uses lead closet bends.

: DUH is using Short radius ells is better then a sweeep huh HJ?

: PVC is closer to maintenance free than cast iron and lead. Honest plumbers install it. LonnythePlumber

: I totally agree Lonnie,

: Other then brain cancer and liver damage and toxic smoke fumes given off in a fire and other rodents eating away at plastic and no bearing strength to speak of and very few stumblebums use Clevis hangers for support and plastic is not recyclable and it is very noisy it is an amazing product.

: Too bad Charlotte pipe disagrees with you and after all what the heck do they know they only manufacturer this stuff along with no hub cast iron THE FIRE proof /quiet/recyclable safe piping system.

: You da man for specifications of QUALITY I am impressed.

: Thank you
