Let me see if I understand this correctly as I maybe missing something.

So If the work is contrary to local codes that is ok BUT to be made legal it cost more?

On certain parts of the planet it is illegal for a contractor to install plumbing without pulling a permit and having the job inspected.


I guess this is why in certain civilized societies skilled trades do require a license and thus to protect the license contractor do all work according to code KNOWING if they do not they are held accountable.

This is getting really instreasting.

I am now thinking there is a heck of a lot more going on then is being posted.

This would be an open and shut case in any court that I have testified in
