The Dolphin is more expensive because its alloy is specifically designed to withstand salt water corrosion. It probably will not give any better service in OK than any other Sloan valve, but if you furnish something else and it does not work, they will expect you to provide the Dolphin as a replacement. If you install the Dolphin and it does not work, it is not your problem, since they specified it.
: I understand the water is dirty in Oklahoma, and our client requests the Sloan Company Dolphin series flush valve which is primarily for marine (salt water) use. This valve is about twice the price of the average Sloan Royal valve. Does anyone know if there is another valve that is more approriate for the water in Oklahoma?
