In response to Re: PVC Pipe
: This from someone who still uses lead closet bends.

: : : I paid a plummer to plumb a new bathroom. I am looking at the PVC joints in the drain lines and it doesn't seem that he primed them. There is no purple coloration adn the letters on the pipe are not removed.

: : : How serious is this? What should I do at this point?

: : How can it be considered "professional" when anyone uses plastic for above ground drainage?

: : You got what you paid for.

: : If someone suggested plastic drainage in my home Id say thank you, then go to home depot buy the pipe, fittings, glue and primer and a saw and ruler and do it myself with a simpleton how to book and use an AAV for good measure just to see how bottom line I could go locally.

PVC is closer to maintenance free than cast iron and lead. Honest plumbers install it. LonnythePlumber
