: : I have a single-lever kitchen unit. The nut that screws on it keeps coming loose and water spurts out when it gets loose enough. When I pull on the lever to open and close I get a tugging sensation. It's not a smooth operation.

: There is a loose, worn out or stripped part.
: Depending on the age and condition of the faucet, replacement may be more efficient than a repair.
: Try to locate a faucet breakdown online, (or parts explosion) to determine if you can possibly tighten it up or replace an inexpensive part to correct the problem.

Could it be the lever itself that is stripped or defective in somew way. Or the nut itself? Thank you for your reply. Kathy
