That would be the minimum size I would use, assuming it is copper inside the house and not CPVC or another plastic pipe. : Is there any websites or documents around that tells me the proper size of coppper than nees to be run throughout a house. My bungalow has 1 inch pipe from the well to the pressure tank. From there it drops to half inch through the water treatment system. Right after the system it is dropped to 1/2 to the rest of the house. The cold side of the hot water tank is also tapped off this main 1/2 line. When someone is having a shower there is maybe 20% water flow left to run at other taps. This doesn't sound right to me to have 1/2 main line. I was thinking of running a 3/4 copper line as my main line and tap all my 1/2 lines from it. Does this sound right. : Thanks
