|In response to Re: Acrylic Bathtubs|
I have not seen one yet that looks like it is a real bathtub. Many will leak around the edges and then water gets between the old tub and the liner. This makes the liner feel like you are walking on a water bed and eventually that water turns fetid and starts to smell.
: I was told about acrlic bathtubs. I was told this could be put right over my existing bathtub, which has holes in the bottom and this would take care of that problem, plus make the bathtub look like new. This is attractive, because getting the old tub out and a new one in will be a massive job. E.g. small bathroom and the kitchen wall will have to be torn out, as well as the sink and the toilet. Can you please give me your two cents regarding this. Is it a good idea or am I missing something?
