: I have the option of puting copper or pex in my house. Cost and installation aside, which would be better and more durable in the long run?

If it were my home, I would be leaning toward the PEX.
I use some copper but mainly PEX piping.
It seems to be quieter with less water hammer.
It has some insulating qualities too.
