OK, to be more specific... how do I break the pre-existing connection between the lead and cast-iron pipes? exactly what type of PVC pipe do I use? how much PVC should there be above the new floor, so that the flange will be flush? thanks : Can anyone describe the process (and level of difficulty) of replacing the lead drain pipe for a toilet? I'm redoing a bathroom that has a damaged lead drain pipe. I'm not sure how it attaches to the cast-iron drain stack, etc. : Thanks, : Brian
