The putty or whatever it is didn't harden completely. It feels like trying to poke into a very hard cheese. Except it is more gummy. Since I cannot damage any tiles here maybe some pieces of Kapton tape would protect from the back and forth movement of the piano wire. Now I just have to figure where to get piano wire. We do have a piano but I don't want to take it out of there and we live in the boonies. Thanks all, Joerg.
