on cast iron and porcelain sinks i use a plain piano wire to slice though the adhesive/caulk under the sink. You can buy it of course from a musical store(i get mine online buying remnants from piano repair co.) but also from some auto glass & body shop(expensive) as they use it to remove windshields. Use caution when using this wire... I run the wire through and around brass nipples for handles to pull on the wire and saw back and forth to cut through the adhesive. The first time i used the wire, i wore elk skin gloves and wrapped the wire around my hand, and it sliced right though the glove into two fingers. be careful & good luck |
