: With a razor knife and plastic scraper (so as not to scratch the tiles) remove all caulk which is around the sink. There is a caulk remover which softens caulk, but if you have painted tiles or some other special thing, I would hesitate about this not knowing if it would damage the tile.

Once all the caulk is removed from AROUND the sink, there is undoubtedly still caulk ( which IS an adhesive) UNDER the flange or rim of sink. Get the thinnest flexible scraper or putty knife you can find. Try to work it under the rim, working your way all around the sink. Just keep working at this, it will be tedious.
