For underground water piping I use Copper tubing type K I would also consider the pressure you have available and figure 7/8 OD tubing (3/4) I would suggest you provice a means of total drtain down of this line in the winter. Install a shut off valve with a tee and and another valve you can use possibly a wet dry or low pressure pump to make sure the lines is totally drained. Do not forget the vacuum breaker on the end of the hose connection Otherwise I would install the water line 4 feet below the finished grade for a frost line protection
