: i have a detached garage about 35' behind my house. i'd like to run a water line to the garage for a hose bib, etc...please advise. what kind of material? diameter? frost issues (i live in maryland - bot. of footing req'd is 30"). i can tie into a cold water line through the exposed part of my basement wall on the house. : thanks.
Install a shut off valve with a tee and and another valve you can use possibly a wet dry or low pressure pump to make sure the lines is totally drained. Do not forget the vacuum breaker on the end of the hose connection Otherwise I would install the water line 4 feet below the finished grade for a frost line protection |
