But if you figure a pad of say 2x2 feet, that's 4 sqft. 450 / 4 = 112 pound per square foot floor load. I doubt if your ceiling joists are sized to support this. A gas water heater brings up the whole subject of combustion air supply. You need a city inspector to tell you what they would require up there. |
