In response to Re: Well water pressure and rusty spurts of water
: Hi. We just moved to a new home with well water. The pressure varies. I can start a sprinkler and it fails to oscillate after a couple of minutes due to the decrease in water pressure. Is there a way to increase water pressure in a well system?
:
: Also, I have been noticing bursts of rusty water every so often. It will eventually run clear and it is not happening all the time. Any ideas on this?
:
: Thanks.

Ro; What is the pressure gauge indicating now on your system? Usually, a setting of 30, on 50 off, is sufficient, but it can be can adjusted to be higher (40 on, 60off,)if necessary. As far as the Rusty water,if this is a Brand New home, then the tank and lines should be clean. If an older type house (new to you) then it could be rusted pipes, etc and the tanks should be flushed out every so often. Also, this Rust color could be iron in your water and a iron filter is in order. Have you had the water teted for iron /bacteria ? Post back with added info and we will advise on adjusting the pump pressure, etc. Hube
