However, I've decided to hire out this portion of my project.
The dealer (an experienced installer) started describing the technique he uses to cut the panels (special skillsaw blade, run the saw backwards, etc.) and it sounded like more of an art than a science. After looking at the cost of the raw material, and the amount of cutting in I'd need to do around windows, soap dishes, etc., I decided that the risk of me destroying a $500-$1K panel was too great, so I'm going to pay for this part of the work.
