I just purchased a new Crane Galaxy Lite toilet. After installing, it appears that each flush is incomplete. Only half the tank empties before the flapper closes. This is a 1.6 gpf model. (Of course, if I hold down the lever, the entire tank empties.) Is this a "feature" or a defect? Shouldn't the entire tank empty with a flush? I've seen references to what is called an "early-closure" flapper and a "standard" flapper. Is this coming into play here? If so, can I replace the "early-closure" flapper shipped with the toilet with a standard flapper to empty the entire tank? Thanks for your assistance. |
