: I've screwed up three pieces of material so far, and hate to waste more time and money...thanks. Kind of sad that I can run supply and drain lines over 50 feet, but can't get this last 8 inches!

Chrome plated supply lines should always be used if they will be exposed, anything else looks unprofessional. If the offset is slight, bending the supplies by hand shouldn't be a problem. There are benders (spring type) available that the chrome supply slides into and you would bend it as needed, the the supply slides out. The more expensive tool that does it is costly for a one time situation.
